A start-up jewellery company based in the Merseyside town of Heswall. At RAGGED we make high-quality jewellery that just drips with character. Each piece comes out of the big, creaky workshop door with a personality all of its own having been hand sculpted and hand finished. But it’s up to you to REALLY beat them up and make each of your pieces even more unique.

Well that’s me, Jack. I’ve always found myself doodling and sketching on anything I can get my hands on and I’ve been model-making, carving and whittling since around the age of four - my ability to work with and design jewellery has come from years of inadvertent experience!
WHY?
Why not?
But seriously, I acquired my degree in Architecture and Landscape in 2019 after three years of sketching, Photoshopping, AutoCADing and model-making. As much as I loved the course, I never really felt the urge to throw myself into the architecture world. I’m not saying “never” to architecture, I’m just saying “not now”.
Then a big, nasty virus hit and I had a bit more time to think about what I wanted to do. I wanted to do something for myself, get a business set up and running that I will be happy to work at day in and day out.
RAGGED came about because I know that not everything I make will be perfect; there will be rough lines, dents, scratches and happy accidents, but I like those things. Those imperfections make each piece beautiful and unique. RAGGED is, for now, a jewellery company, but it can be anything I want it to be and anything it needs to be, so watch this space.
